People across Wales and its borders can now look forward to the transformation of their transport network. At TfW, we put the customers and communities we serve at the heart of everything we do. We’re delivering the objectives set out in the Well-being of Future Generations Act, which outlines five ways of working. Our advisory structure will help us to adopt these ways of working, through the establishment of our advisory panel and subsidiary input structures.
The purpose of this role is to provide overall support to our Advisory Panel which sits within our broader advisory structures of meetings and inputs – helping to manage the engagement both internally and externally with customers and stakeholders.
You’ll work across TfW’s advisory structure to support the delivery of a range of operational activities, processes and decision-making. You’ll do this by being proactive in your support and advice to the members.
You’ll manage and coordinating the advisory panel and its subsidiary boards, organising meetings and events. You’ll also need to manage documentation and correspondence, drafting responses where appropriate.
You’ll also be supporting the development, delivery, monitoring and review of key actions for the advisory panels.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who can undertake secretariat responsibilities across our Advisory Architecture, someone who can build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, be organised and be proactive in supporting our members.
You’ll need to have:
o Demonstrable experience of engaging with and developing effective working relationships with a range of senior internal and external customers/stakeholders.
o Excellent organisational and time management skills.
o The ability to effectively manage and co-ordinate a senior team and implement actions to time and quality.
It would be beneficial if you also had:
o Welsh language skills.
o Experience of working in a transport environment.
o Experience in working as an advocate for the needs of groups or individuals with protected characteristics as outlined in the Equalities Act.
o Experience in the development and implementation of public consultations.
