Rail Contracts Manager (Infrastructure Manager Services)

Transport for Wales is recruiting a Rail Contracts Manager (Infrastructure Manager Services) to join the Rail Operations Team.

You’ll support the delivery of the asset divestment programme for the Core Valley Lines on behalf of Transport for Wales. This includes supporting the development of the agreements required between Transport for Wales and Network Rail, and subsequently leading the day-to day management of compliance with these contracts by Network Rail.

You’ll lead the resolution and approval process of all financial or commercial claims and penalty payments relating to these contracts, ultimately making sure that value to the passenger is always maintained.

You’ll develop and manage a contract management system for monitoring compliance and ensuring delivery of the Infrastructure Manager Services under the Grant Agreement, implementing procedures for contract management and administration in line with company policy.

You’ll provide guidance on contractual matters to colleagues, including training to new colleagues on rail contractual frameworks and agreements. You’ll make sure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties and provide contract visibility and awareness, to support implementation.

You’ll understand the financial position of the company and the wider economy and make sure that value for money is achieved when delivering services.
