Transport for Wales is recruiting a Corporate & Operational Risk Manager to join the Commercial & Customer Experience Team.
Internally you’ll be known as the Corporate Risk & Insurance Manager, you’ll be the subject matter expert (SME) for both Operational Risk and Corporate Risk management. 3rd Party and Project Risk will not fall under your remit; however, you’ll need to work closely with the team for whom it does.
As the SME you’ll be responsible for making sure that the appropriate risk management policies are implemented across our organisation as well as providing guidance and advice on how to best manage risk.
Working with the Commercial & Customer Experience Director and the Audit and Risk Committee you’ll make sure that we have appropriate insurance arrangements in place. You’ll also manage the relationships with the insurers and insurance brokers to make sure we have the most appropriate insurance on the most cost-effective basis.
Among others there are two key risk registers you’ll be responsible for; the Strategic Risk register, and the Business Operational Risk Register. You’ll implement the systems and controls to make sure that risk is reported in a timely manner and you’ll support the Management teams and Directors in identifying risk and any mitigation actions as necessary.
